Trying out my Strathmore Bristol paper. I found it OK until I got to the shadow and felt it to be too 'absorbent'. I think this drawing is also better in the flesh than in the scan, it seems to lose something in translation somehow. B and 2B pencil.
This is me agian forgive me ^^ , I wanted to see that cat again lol .. it let me laugh , as when I look to its eyes and mustache they are really more than real haha, um sure if any of my friends see this they will not believe that it's a pencil drawing !! its about realistic textures!!

Hi there, as a result of your nomination... I've dropped in!
As I have had the pleasure of owning two beautiful Burmese "Coco" - who sadly passed this year & "Chocky"... I was very much interested in having a look at your drawing.
It is just beautiful... and captures all the uniqueness of the breed!
Felicity's Philosophies began as a drawing blog but quickly expanded to include life in Kuwait (up until Feb. 2006) and Geneva. The second, Sketches by Fiz, is where you will find only the drawings and some words about the process and materials used. I've used graphite exclusively for many years and have recently switched to using colour pencils. People and faces have always been my main inspiration but I love to draw the ordinary, everyday things around me too. I'm married to Mark and mum to teenagers Paul and Alex. -----Thanks for visiting - comments are always welcome! E-mail me at Felicity(at)Felicity-Grace.com ----- All rights reserved. The sense of fur and they eyes of a living cat seem to be in the drawing itself -- not merely suggested. Very envious of this!
This is exceptionally good, Felicity. I agree with drb - something about it transports me from drawing to life.
This is wonderful. I don't thinks it's lost a thing. It feel so very real and life like to me.

your pencil skills just blow me away, this is terrific, what size is it?
Thanks for those wonderful comments!
Dody, feel free to drop by as often as you want! ;)
Gabi, it's about 7inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide (measuring the body not the frame!) I tend to work quite small so that's average for me.
AMAZING WORK!
Exquisite. So fine. All of your work is a pleasure to contemplate.
The way you captured that dense fur is amAAAzing - I bow down to you, Fizz, The Queen of Cat Fur.
Thanks Anita, Rah and Juj! Oh, I like that, "Queen of Cat Fur"!
